On top of Mount Oku

Yesterday after a full say driving on one of Cameroon's worst roads we reached the town of Kumbo. Now searching for chameleons... Hopefully some pictures soon!

We made it back safe down the mountain!!! It was though for some of us... Loren and Guy here near the waterfall were we found 6 chameleons... Great expedition so far, tomorrow we head Mount Kupe....

We found 17 t. montium today!!! One of them this incredible male! What a successful dag today... Tomorrow we will be back up mount Cameroon again!

Camerún

Localizada en el Golfo de Guinea, Camerún se encuentra en la intersección de África occidental y África central. El norte de Camerún es seco y contiene grandes sabanas, mientras que el sur es el hogar de una densa selva tropical. Ecológica y culturalmente, Camerún es extremadamente rica. Contiene más de 200 grupos étnicos, y en particular un alto grado de biodiversidad.

Es uno de los más diversos países geográficamente en África, que comprende tres grandes zonas: el norte de la sabana, el sur y el este de las selvas tropicales, y el noroeste de la región, cerca de las montañas de Nigeria. Debido a su gran variedad geográfica y cultural, el Camerún es a veces llamado ‘África en miniatura’. Los valiosos bosques tropicales de Camerún contienen una serie de especies de árboles, incluidos los de palma de aceite, palma de la mano de bambú, caoba, teca, ébano, y el caucho. La fauna es diversa y abundante e incluye monos, chimpancés, gorilas, antílopes, leones y elefantes, así como numerosas especies de aves y, por supuesto, reptiles y anfibios.
