Nactus Award 2013-2014

Winner Nactus Award
2013 - 2014
Category 6: Reptile behaviour
Prathamesh Ghadekar - India, Badlapur
Trimeresurus malabaricus
We are extremely pleased to announce the winner of the 2013-2014 Nactus Award! This year's winner of our prestigious herpetological photography award is Prathamesh Ghadekar. Our online voters have selected your photograph as the most striking of all of the competition’s entries.
As the winner, Prathamesh Ghadekar will receive a brand new Canon EOS 5D MKIII Digital Camera. This prize of 3,000.00 USD value cannot be transferred, exchanged and can under no circumstances be converted into cash.
At this time, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the contestants. Our panel of judges found it quite challenging to select the 6 nominees for each category from amongst the thousands of exceptional reptile and amphibian photographic entries that were received.
Of course, we owe a big "thank-you" to all of our on-line voters. The 2013-2014 Nactus Award would not have been the huge success it was, if it were not for the thousands of people who took the time to visit the Exo Terra web site to view and vote for their favourite nominee.
