Winner Nactus Award 2009-2010
We are extremely pleased to announce the winner of the 2009-2010 Nactus Award! This year's winner of our prestigious herpetological photography award is Mr. David A. Northcott from Canyon Country, CA, USA. Our on-line voters have selected his photograph as the most striking of all of the competition’s entries.
As the winner, Mr. Northcott will be accompanying the Exo Terra expedition team to Cameroon as the official expedition photographer. In addition, he will receive the 1.5 kg Nactus Award statuette. Category winners are awarded a certificate.
At this time, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the contestants. Our panel of judges found it quite challenging to select the 5 finalists for each category from amongst the hundreds of exceptional reptile and amphibian photographic entries that were received.
Of course, we owe a big "thank-you" to all of our on-line voters. The 2009-2010 Nactus Award would not have been the huge success it was, if it were not for the thousands of people who took the time to visit the Exo Terra web site to view and vote for their favourite nominee.
Emmanuel Van Heygen,
Exo Terra Product Manager
