The land of the Mayas

Honduras remains one of the richest countries in Latin America, rich in biodiversity and historical inheritance. La Moskitia, or the Mosquito Coast, is one of the wildest and most pristine jungles in Latin America. First colonized by pirates, this jungle region is home to native Indians and to amazing wildlife, including green iguanas, various species of boas, many specialized tree frogs and the elusive jaguar.
